Second, do you know if there is a setting for making Steam Link the priority connection on that router? I'm using a wired connection, but I still set it up from Steam that Steam Link should request priority connection since it's a local stream. Having said that, how much other stuff is connected to that router? I'm guessing you have multiple devices on that connection. I've never struggled with Stream quality/speed usually having about 12 ms lag time. I've been messing with it recently and everything is wired. I built a PC in 2012 and am still running that same PC to stream games to my Steam Link. Regardless of how good your wireless connection is, a wired connection should trump it every time as long as you aren't using an extremely old motherboard/network card. From my understanding packet loss is a real thing over wireless.
